What is in a Name?

Mat 1:21“She will bear a Son; and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.”

Mat 1:23“BEHOLD, THE VIRGIN SHALL BE WITH CHILD AND SHALL BEAR A SON, AND THEY SHALL CALL HIS NAME IMMANUEL,” which translated means, “GOD WITH US.”

Mat 1:25but kept her a virgin until she gave birth to a Son; and he called His name Jesus.

Mat 7:22“Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?'

Mat 10:22“You will be hated by all because of My name, but it is the one who has endured to the end who will be saved.

Mat 12:21“AND IN HIS NAME THE GENTILES WILL HOPE.”

Mat 18:20“For where two or three have gathered together in My name, I am there in their midst.”

Mat 24:5“For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,' and will mislead many.

Mat 24:9“Then they will deliver you to tribulation, and will kill you, and you will be hated by all nations because of My name.

Mat 28:19“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit,

Mar 9:37“Whoever receives one child like this in My name receives Me; and whoever receives Me does not receive Me, but Him who sent Me.”

Mar 9:39But Jesus said, “Do not hinder him, for there is no one who will perform a miracle in My name, and be able soon afterward to speak evil of Me.

Mar 9:41“For whoever gives you a cup of water to drink because of your name as followers of Christ, truly I say to you, he will not lose his reward.

Mar 13:6“Many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am He!' and will mislead many.
