Elohym created man in Their own image, in the image of Elohym They created him; male and female They created them.

Notice the two underlined words male, female.  These are biological sexes, not "genders".  It does not explain HOW Elohym is male and female, only that Elohym IS male and female and we were created like THEM, male and female.

Most English versions have the pronoun His/He for Elohym.  If that were the case how could a "He" be BOTH male and female?  He can't, He'd only be male, however Elohym is male and female and we were created like THEM.  But, you have to remember that Elohym is only one individual because the verb used is singular.

If you are similar to other people who say that "God" has no gender, but call God a HE, you have a problem and you are contradicting what the Bible says.  YOU give God a gender by using the pronoun HE and you reject Genesis 1:27 that says that Elohym is male and female.

Genesis 1:2 has the female's name, Ruach Elohym.

Genesis 2:4 has the male's name, Yehovah Elohym.

Together, They form the ONE Elohym.

See the article on Elohym's name.
